Certi-Guard

Identification: Class C Shakes and Shingles = Blue Certi-Guard / Class B shakes and shingles = Red Certi-Guard; materials; manufactured from Premium and Number 1 Grade Certi-Split or Certi-Sawn cedar shakes or Number 1 Certi-Grade cedar shingles. Standards: ASTM-108, UL-790, NFPA-256, UBC Standard 15-2.

#2 Grade Cedar Shingle (Perfection):

18" length, 7/16" thick or 5 shingles stacked is 2-1/4" thick, Face must be 11" clear or better, A minimum 4" width and 14" maximum width, 4 bundles per square, One square is 72.5 sq. ft. of installed coverage at the maximum 4" exposure, Limited sapwood and flat grain are allowed. Limited knots and defects are allowed above the clear portion, For roof pitch of 3:12 or steeper.

#4 Undercoursing Grade Cedar Shingles:

18" length, 7/16" thick or 5 shingles stacked is 2-1/4" thick, Face is 6" clear or better, A minimum 2-1/2"" width and 17" maximum width, Unlimited defects / flat grain / sapwood allowable, 2 bundles per square, One square will cover 200 lineal ft. of starter course.

Certi-Last CCA  

Certi-Last Pressure Preservative Treatment: Long term protection from fungal decay is provided with factory pressure treatment of preservatives that will extend the life of Cedar shake or shingles. In accordance with UBC Standards No.15-3 and 15-4 and /or CSA0118.1.
